This raised the thought should a Rx supplier query any order coming through that says balance or plano ½ pair when the supply lens isn’t either PC or Trivex – ask “as this order appears for a monocular Px wouldn’t it be wise to recommend a break resistant lens for the remaining good eye?”. If prescribers need convincing direct them to our website and its opening video. A reminder n=1.50 resin (CR39) is not a impact resistant material. (see Broken lens picture).
